For drivers, we collect precise real-time location data to enable van tracking features. For parents, we only display the location of the assigned van and do not collect parent location data unless explicitly permitted for specific features.

8. Location Data and Permissions#
8.1 Driver Location Tracking#
Drivers must enable location permissions for the app to function properly. Location data is collected in real-time during active trips only and is used solely for tracking and ETA calculations.
8.2 Parent Location (Optional)#
Parents are not required to share their location. If location permissions are granted, we may use it to provide enhanced features like proximity alerts.
8.3 Managing Permissions#
You can manage location permissions through your device settings at any time. Note that disabling location for driver accounts will prevent the app from functioning properly.
9. Data Retention#
We retain your personal information for as long as your account remains active and until you request deletion. Specifically:
- Active Accounts: All data, including trip history and location data, is retained indefinitely while your account is active
- User-Requested Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time
- Deactivated Accounts: When you deactivate your account via the app, your data is retained to preserve linked records (e.g., trip history)
- Permanent Deletion: Data is permanently deleted only upon specific request to our support team, except where retention is required by law
- Legal Compliance: Some data may be retained longer to comply with legal obligations
